This retro mansion wedding will have you feeling like you’ve been transported to the countryside of Italy (even though we’re in central Florida). While I will happily go anywhere in the world to capture your love story, you don’t always have to go far to find beauty. Sometimes all it takes is an artful eye, like mine, to see the potential for your wedding photographs. For example, you’ll never believe I took some of this couples wedding portraits on the side of the road. About this Retro Spring Mansion Wedding
This past spring, Carolina and Randy said “I do” at The Howey Mansion, a Mediterranean-style mansion in Howey-in-the-Hill, Florida. Every last detail of their mansion wedding had the most nostalgic, retro vibes and colorful design. It was a somewhat intimate affair with about 80 of their closest family and friends. But the whole day felt like a big party! Everywhere you looked, someone was hugging and laughing with someone they knew.
Not only was their day beautiful, but working with this sweet couple was truly the best. They trusted me and were down for any of my ideas. In fact, while driving to the venue, I spotted a giant blooming bougainvillea on the side of the road just one block away. So, I asked Carolina and Randy if they were up for quickly escaping after the first look to share their private vows in front of the blooms. It was the most magnificent backdrop for their colorful day.

During their photos with the wedding party, they all took a moment to celebrate with a champagne tower – such a fun moment! Every last detail on their tablescape was the perfect combination of retro inspiration and whimsical colors that fit their aesthetic wonderfully.
